Leagues

You are welcome here! Our leagues accommodate you. Whether you’re a recreational player or competitive, 16 to 106, JPCC has a league that will let you rock the house – at our house!

You’ll see all our leagues are open leagues – including seniors and triples. An open league allows any team configuration to play – a mixed team, a women’s team, a men’s team or a team of mixed gender.

There are two big advantages to JPCC’s open team structure. First, curlers have far more options time-wise with open leagues. Second, the more flexible structure attracts more curlers to JPCC – and we can stay financially viable when we fill two curling draws every evening.

Teams that want to compete in the Edmonton-wide playoffs must:

  • be true mixed, men’s or women’s teams,
  • have competed throughout the season staying true to the rules for each category, and
  • have earned enough points to qualify for the play-offs.

A “Grand Challenge” will be available to all teams regardless of their configuration following the club playoffs.

Individuals are invited to register and we will place you on a team.

If you have already selected your team - you are welcome too.

Don't understand triples - don't worry; it's new to everyone - but its fast and fun. Everyone sweeps 12, throws 12, and calls 12 shots. Doubling the points in the last two ends - means the game is never over until it is over.
